UCIL's MIC

from Hekatombre by The Glacial Drift

lyrics

a dismal shantytown saddened with penury - the factory erected in its heart - brought a daydream of prosperity to a dearth arena - faith in foreign minds to lift them, to guide them - break down the walls, eyes burn - insides break out

the cleansing water flowed down lanky pipelines - without a damn to stop, it seeped covertly into the MIC - it bubbled, it heated, evaporating to its lethal phase - snaking furtively through tunnels - out the gates
medicine for plants - to help them grow - hush, hush - baleful gas for dwellers if it escapes - hush, hush - but these alien heads know how to control it

no warning sirens were heard - oozing into the city slumber undetected, unforeseen - crossing the threshold of all body chambers - the smell of burning chili passed into their lungs

nervous system retains no control - enduring damage - long term consequences outshine generations - defects due to the medicine for plants - but these alien heads know how to control it…
