lyrics

the hope of increasing bails of cotton - thirsty fields fed from its branches - grounded fishing vessels to rust - anglers in search of labor - desolate brackish pan struggling to sustain life - disease swept from exposed seabed

shipwrecked in a sea of barren salt - the sound of swells crashing against steal becomes the parched - whipping winds of toxins - a blanket of sun dried brine leeches from the dessert.

cattle and camels raised to scrape by bushes erected to block the deadly gusts - dams went up and then crashed down finally holding to quench the torrid earth – authoring fish to be caught and habitants back to work

attempting to destroy life and refurbish its essence
